REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

In order to attend the International Jewellery & Watch Fair, your registration will need to be accompanied by business, ABN and personal identification. All visitors to the Fair must carry photo identification issued under law, i.e. either current Australian Drivers Licence or Passport. Non-Australian residents must carry their passport, which must be valid. Applications that cannot provide the supporting documentation will not be accepted.

SECURITY

Security for all at the Fair is our highest priority. Please take a moment to open each item and read the information.

Buyer’s entry passes must be visible, and be carried at all times. Non-Australian residents must carry their passport with them while at the Fair. Identification must be produced to security or to an exhibitor, on demand.

Due to the nature of the products on site at the Fair, security for visitors, exhibitors and staff is our highest priority. It is a condition of entry that buyers and other personnel consent to being searched on request. CCTV, X-ray machines and metal detection equipment will be used at entry and exit points. Routine searches will be conducted and all visitors are requested to be understanding of the reasons for this.

Photography or video recording at the Fair is prohibited, except by those authorised individuals. Surveillance equipment is in use for the entire duration of the Fair.

Expertise Events reserves the right to take photographs, video and other footage of all visitors, exhibitors and displays within their events. These photographs remain the property of Expertise Events and may be used on occasion to promote, market and advertise the said event and other events organised by Expertise Events. If you are the subject of any images taken, your agreement to these terms and conditions and usage of these images is signified by your entry into the exhibition and/or attendance as a visitor at the event.

Expertise Events reserves the right to refuse entry to any buyer or person without proper identification as its discretion.

No loud, abusive or defamatory language, harassment or other unprofessional or inappropriate behaviour will be tolerated.

Items prohibited inside the Fair include firearms or weapons of any kind, cameras, bags other than a small briefcase or handbag.

Onsite trading is restricted to exhibitors only. Non-exhibiting wholesalers are not permitted to conduct business on the Fair floor (aka suitcasing). Expertise Events reserves the right to escort the attendee from the Fair floor if they are reported to be soliciting business at the Fair and are not an exhibitor. If you are escorted from the Fair, you will not be allowed to attend any future Fairs.

If someone who appears to have no official presence approaches you or if you observe suspicious behaviour at the Fair, please report your concerns to security immediately.

Buyers making purchases at the Fair are advised to use the official security transporters, Armaguard or Brinks Security, who will be located onsite. Expertise Events strongly advises against carrying jewellery merchandise to or from the Fair.

As this is a business event, with high security, we strongly discourage buyers’ children from attending the Fair. We understand, however, that this may be unavoidable at times and so exceptions in these circumstances may be made. Due to the nature of the event, we discourage prams being brought to the Fair. Any items brought to the Fair will be searched at the Fair entry and/or exit as part of our commitment to safety and security.

If a child is found unaccompanied they will be escorted to the Expertise Events Registration Counter and the registered buyer responsible for the child will be notified. Failure of the parent or legal guardian to supervise the minor’s activities may result in removal from the Fair.
